Other names: Pin-tailed Nonpareil, Nonpareil Parrot Finch.

Distribution: Laos, Thailand, the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra and Java.

Habitat: Forested areas including bamboo thickets and forest edges; also rice fields.

Aviary Habits: Can be difficult to acclimatise and breed, may need stimulation of a colony. Prefer planted flights/aviaries to cages; tend to obesity if kept in latter.
